Trip to Borger & My Surprise 30th Party

In May, Lyla and I went to Borger for Trenton's BHS graduation. We had so much fun. My mom and sister threw me a 30th surprise birthday party and since it was a month after my birthday, I was very surprised. I have only had one other surprise birthday party and that was when my best friend, Kimberly, threw me one when I turned 13 and then I was so surprised that I cried. But I kept it together this time!
Some of the initial blocks I made for all of my dear friends new babies.
Finally enough hair for a pony tail!
 Yea Trenton!

First Flush Festival -Wadmalaw Island, SC

We took a family outing to Wadmalaw Island for the First Flush Festival at America's Only Tea Plantation. We had a great time, listening to music, eating boiled peanuts, and sipping iced tea.

Kindermusik & Little Gym Completion

During the month of May, Lyla participated in the Little Gym and Kindermusik. She really enjoyed playing with the other kids and learning new things. I had a great time too. I highly recommend Kindermusik, if you have it in your area. Lyla got so much out of it. Little Gym was great too, but not a much bang for your buck. She was a little too young and just ran around. We will try gymnastics when she get a little older. For now, Kindermusik will be our "school" for Lyla.

Warm Weather

We have really enjoyed the warm late spring in Charleston. We have already spent time at the beach, the park, and in our backyard. We love the water, bubbles, sand and slides! We are trying to enjoy the warm weather before it get too hot, which shouldn't be too far off!

Mother's Day and the Greek Festival

We spent Mother's Day trekking around downtown trying to find the Greek Festival, all in the name of Gyros and Grape Leaf rolls! TJ and I love food, music and being outdoors, so Festival going has become a hobby of ours. This was a good one, since we both love Greek/Mediterranean, but it was a little too crowded. We should have just gone to one of the many local restaurants, but then we would have missed the dancers! Lyla loved the dancers. She would throw up her arms with every "Ompah!"
