Sweet Eater

Lyla loves sugar! From pink lemonade to kettle korn to cookies, Lyla likes the sweet stuff. She was such a good baby about eating her veggies, but toddler-hood is another story. She would live off sweets, milk and goldfish.

G.Love & the Special Sauce

T.J. and I got to go see one of our favorite artists, G.Love. We have been listening to him since high school, when a friend of TJ's introduced us to his amazing music. He was fabulous! We had the best date night. Sushi downtown at Sushi Hiro and then to the Music Farm to see G.Love. I have to admit, since the place is 18 and up I felt all of my 29 years, but seeing him live was worth the age reminder.

Spring Break 2010

Patty, Lyla and I met Alicia and Mazi at Teri's house in Georgia for spring break. We thought it would be a good idea to take their pictures. I don't know why we always think this is going to be so fun. We take about 100 pictures and get maybe 3 goods ones. It is so frustrating at the time, but looking back on it cracks me up. I know they will only be small for a little while, so I just try to take a deep breath and snap away, waiting for the perfect picture of 4 squirmy kids.

This is more like it! Running, screaming, crying.

St. Paddy's "Snowing"

Lyla and I were sure to dress in our green for St. Patrick's Day! So was our niece, Alayna. Alayna played photographer while the grown-up were "snowing" new curtains. That is what Lyla's calls sewing. She even helped Nino "snow" for a bit.

Early Morning

We decided to get up early (4:45am) and head to the beach for some shelling and to see the sunrise. Someone had told us that after a storm the shells were better. Well, we didn't have any luck finding interesting shells and it was too cloudy for a beautiful sunrise, but the ocean was incredible that early in the morning. I had never seen a high tide. It really showed how powerful the ocean can be! Pretty awe inducing! Lyla likes seashells of any kind so she was happy and I love spending time with my family so I was happy too.

Isle of Palms

We went to visit Isle of Palms. The water was freezing but Lyla enjoyed playing in the sand and picking up seashells. She loves play time with her Daddy. They are precious together!

Charleston, SC

We moved to right outside Charleston, SC on March 1. It was a long move from Borger, taking 3 days, but we made it, driving half way across the U.S. through snow, rain and lots of traffic! TJ had a few days off before he started work so we enjoyed trips to the beach. It is beautiful here, even though is it still winter.
