TJ's 32nd Birthday

For TJ's 32nd birthday, we all went to eat at Bushido for sushi. Lyla and Mazi made him cookies and had way too much fun with the chop sticks. He got lots of golf clothes to go with his birthday/father's day gift of new TaylorMade After Burner clubs. It was a great evening!

Cute Cousins

At the end of July, almost all of Lyla's cousins came for a visit. She had so much fun playing with them. I love that she has a big family with kids her age to play with. She loves them all so much and talked about them for weeks following their trips!

Happy Anniversary

We took advantage of my family being here and had a day date for our 2nd Anniversary. TJ made reservations at a delicious restaurant, 82 Queen, and we went to see a grown-up movie at the Cinebarre, which is like a corporate Alamo Draft House. So much fun! I love having a drink and watching a silly movie, in this case, Get Him to The Greek. It makes them so much funnier! We had a wonderful time. I love spending time with TJ without being in Mommy-mode.

Family Trip to Charleston

My Mom, Dad and Sister all made the trip out to Charleston for their summer vacation. I had a blast with them. We did so much in the 10 days they were here! We started with a carriage tour of downtown and a visit to Waterfront Park. Then we visited the Aquarium, took Lyla to see her first movie in the theater (Toy Story 3 - she LOVED it!), two trips to the beach, a tour of Middleton Place plantation, a backyard BBQ, fireworks at North Charleston's Naval Yard, James Island County Park for a picnic and finally Pho, Putt Putt, and Go-Karts. I just wish they lived closer so we experience all of the many fun things Charleston and the surrounding area has to offer all year round!

Trip to Borger & My Surprise 30th Party

In May, Lyla and I went to Borger for Trenton's BHS graduation. We had so much fun. My mom and sister threw me a 30th surprise birthday party and since it was a month after my birthday, I was very surprised. I have only had one other surprise birthday party and that was when my best friend, Kimberly, threw me one when I turned 13 and then I was so surprised that I cried. But I kept it together this time!
Some of the initial blocks I made for all of my dear friends new babies.
Finally enough hair for a pony tail!
 Yea Trenton!

Kindermusik & Little Gym Completion

During the month of May, Lyla participated in the Little Gym and Kindermusik. She really enjoyed playing with the other kids and learning new things. I had a great time too. I highly recommend Kindermusik, if you have it in your area. Lyla got so much out of it. Little Gym was great too, but not a much bang for your buck. She was a little too young and just ran around. We will try gymnastics when she get a little older. For now, Kindermusik will be our "school" for Lyla.
