FUMC Fall Festival
My sweet sister and I took Lyla to the First United Methodist Church Fall Festival. This was the church we grew up in so it was neat to take Lyla there. They did a wonderful job and Lyla had a great time. They even had games she could play! But the best part was that she won 2nd place in the costume contest!!! I was so excited and she liked playing with her medal. In fact, she wouldn't let us take it off! She wore it until bedtime. She liked the taste of victory so maybe she will be competitive like her daddy. Ha!

Fashionista
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE having a girl! I played with Barbies way after it was "uncool", mostly just to dress them up as models. Well I have a new model, Lyla! Luckily she likes having her picture made and being told she is pretty. I am training her early. We have the best time playing fashion model!

Halloween Pics
I took Lyla back to Portrait Innovations to get some pictures in her Halloween costume. Halloween is my favorite holiday and since Lyla was due on the 24th, I really played up the whole pumpkin/baby boo thing. And since she is our little pumpkin, my mom got her the cutest Pumpkin dress. It looks so great with her strawberry blond hair!
Her costume this year is a zebra. We decided to go with that costume since it went along with her birthday party theme. She looks adorable in it and she is so good about keeping the head and feet on!!

Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch
Our wonderful friends, Lauren and Bryn Hays, went with us this Saturday to the Amazingly Fun Farm in Amarillo. Daddys' had to work so it was a girls day out. It was a blast! Lyla's Aunt Mimi came along to help us out. I think the little girls had fun, but I know the older girls did! We traveled a corn maze, played in a tank of corn, climbed hay stacks, rode a cow train, went on a hay ride, picked pumpkins, shot a corn cannon, and enjoyed snow cones. It was a perfect afternoon to enjoy with good friends!

Entering the Maze - it took us 22 minutes to find our way out
