Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

Our wonderful friends, Lauren and Bryn Hays, went with us this Saturday to the Amazingly Fun Farm in Amarillo. Daddys' had to work so it was a girls day out. It was a blast! Lyla's Aunt Mimi came along to help us out. I think the little girls had fun, but I know the older girls did! We traveled a corn maze, played in a tank of corn, climbed hay stacks, rode a cow train, went on a hay ride, picked pumpkins, shot a corn cannon, and enjoyed snow cones. It was a perfect afternoon to enjoy with good friends!

First Birthday Pictures

We took Lyla to Portrait Innovations to get some 1st Birthday pictures. She was such a good girl, especially considering we had a very long wait. Aunt Mimi and Nana were there to help, thank goodness!

Lyla's First Pep Rally

Nino and I took Lyla to her first Pep Rally. She was so excited to see all the kids and listen to the band. My girl loves a show! She was clapping and dancing to all of the songs. The girls did a great job! Since Trenton is a senior I have been attending a lot of BHS functions again but this time it is so much fun to share with Lyla. She may not end up a Bulldog, but she will always be one at heart!

One Year Old

October 4th, 2008 seems like just a few weeks ago, not an entire year! Now don't get me wrong, there have been some looooong days, but as a whole the year flew by. I can't believe that tiny baby we brought home is now a walking (sort of), talking (a ton) little girl. We made it a whole year without any major mishaps (an accomplishment for mom) and a lot of fun adventures. I can't imagine life without our Lyla. She brings us so much joy, pride and especially love.

So Happy First Birthday, Lyla bug! We love you more every day!
